Man Arrested In Connection With J Cole Concert Shooting

The state police executed a warrant and arrested the suspect Wednesday morning.

Quran Powell, a 27-year-old New Jersey native, was arrested in connection with a recent shooting at PNC Bank Arts Center following a J Cole show.

According to, New Jersey State Police raided Powell's East Orange, NJ apartment on Wednesday morning and arrested him on charges of two counts of attempted homicide, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and certain persons not to possess a firearm. He is currently being held in Monmouth County Jail in Freehold, NJ with a bail set at $750,000.

Powell allegedly shot a 23-year-old and a 24-year-old man in the parking lot of the venue after J Cole performed there Monday night. As of Thursday morning both men were in critical but stable condition.
