The teases are over and now the goods have arrived. Lil Kim dropped the high-gloss video for her "Go Awff" single over the weekend and it's exactly what you'd expect from the Queen Bee. The Damien Sandoval-directed clip for the song, which samples the XX's "Dangerous," doesn't bother with a complicated storyline, paring things back to Kim looking boss in a series of designer outfits, including a leather bustier and sparkly knee-high boots that serve as her runway-ready look...
...As in, a literal airport runway. Most of the clip has the veteran rapper striking poses while surrounded by a group of scantily clad dancers shaking it slow in front of a private jet at night. Kim, sporting a vintage Diana Ross-style giant blown out wig exits the Kim-branded plane like a boss flanked by two all-business women and runs through half a dozen other high-fashion looks in the clip that flips back and forth from color to black and white in flashy bursts.
"I go awff like a AK, turn ya sidewalk to a runway/ Yeah, you know my waist snatches, face beat, hair laid/ Gonna heat it up like a soufflé/ Queen Bee gon' reign forever," she raps on the grinding Soundwavve-produced track. The song is slated to appear on 9, Kim's first album in nine years, due out on May 17 through eOne/Queen Bee Entertainment.
