Offset is still dealing with the ramifications of a July 2018 traffic stop in Georgia that resulted in his arrest. According to Clayton County court records seen by Billboard on Tuesday (April 23), the Father of 4 rapper is facing three charges, with one being categorized as a felony.
The DA's Office initially filed the felony charge for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon against Offset, born Kiari Cephus, back in February. He's also staring down misdemeanor offenses for possession of marijuana and an improper lane change. Luckily for the 27-year-old, another felony charge for possession of a weapon during a crime was disposed of earlier in 2019.
During a March court appearance, Offset and his legal team pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He is scheduled to return to the courtroom on the morning of May 9, according to court docs.
Already on probation in the state of Georgia, the Migos member was pulled over in a routine traffic stop around the Atlanta area in July for an improper lane change. After conducting a search of the vehicle, cops claimed to have discovered $107,000 in cash, marijuana and three firearms. The ATL native was arrested and posted bail the following morning to get back home to Cardi B and then-newborn baby Kulture.
