Wale, LeBron James, Vince Staples & More React to the Shocking Results of the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

The anticipated 2019 NBA Draft Lottery took place Tuesday night (May 14) in Chicago, as fans' hopes to win the Zion Williamson sweepstakes and turn around their beloved franchise came down to a combination of ping pong balls and luck.

Thanks to the revamped Lottery system evening out the playing field, the results were quite shocking, as the New Orleans Pelicans won the No. 1 pick with only a six percent chance. Lady Luck was also in the Lakers favor, as Los Angeles moved up to the No. 4 slot. "#4 Beautiful," Lakers star LeBron James reacted. Kyle Kuzma tried to take some credit being the good luck charm with him representing L.A. in Chicago. "Ya welcome," he wrote.

The delusional Knicks fan base was saddened to find out they dropped to No. 3, which led to a plethora of memes, mocking, and anger-filled reactions from social media. "Na I’m tight for my NYC basketball fans ...somethin ain’t right," Wale wrote empathizing with the rest of NYC. "Prayers For Our @nyknicks," comedian Tracy Morgan followed-up.

Vince Staples chimed in that he didn't care much, since his Los Angeles Clippers don't own their first-round pick and weren't involved with the lottery in any capacity. "So what’s the Clippers pick cause I’m gang shit only," he joked.
