As many flocked to social media to weigh in on Jay Z;s recent NFL partnership announcement, Cardi B drops off her 2 cents as well. The new partnership allows for Jay’s RocNation to serve as the NFL’s official “live music entertainment strategist” – allowing RocNation to consult on entertainment including the Super Bowl halftime show, and contribute to the league’s social justice program .
Backlash was inevitable, however, as many believe it contradicts Jay’s support of social justice causes – especially in regards to Colin Kaepernick who has been blackballed from the NFL for his kneeling during the national anthem.
While many criticized Jay, Cardi B seems to be in the Hip Hop mogul’s corner.
“I feel like he went in there like, ‘Alright, if you guys want me to work with y’all, y’all need to bring my peoples in there. Y’all need to do things my way.’ And I feel like he’s gonna change it.”
