Billy Idol is launching a residency at the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort in 2019, Live Nation announced Tuesday (Sept. 18). The 10-show run is the second residency show following the renovation of the property.
“Billy Idol is an absolute icon in the music world – one of those artists that people of all ages around the world know the lyrics to every song. It’s an honor to have him back at The Pearl at the Palms,” Palms Casino Resort general manager Jon Gray said in a release. “The Billy Idol Las Vegas residency perfectly complements the diverse range of musical acts we’re booking at the Pearl and we know these shows will resonate with our audience.”
Beginning on Jan. 18, 2019 and running through the rest of January and October, Billy Idol: Las Vegas 2019 will feature songs from the punk rock icon's career. Spanning over three decades, Idol has gone from frontman of the British punk band, Generation X, to a global sensation with songs like "Rebel Yell," "White Wedding," and "Dancing With Myself," which will all be performed at his 2019 shows. Joined by the rest of the Billy Idol band, including his longtime guitarist Steve Stevens, the news comes just days after Idol is set to release Vital Idol: Revitalized.
The full lineup of Billy Idol: Las Vegas 2019 includes 10 performances:
Jan. 18-19, 23, 25-26
Oct. 4-5, 9, 11-12
